Lyra Level Breakdown
Intro Lyra
Intro lyra is open to any beginner student—no experience necessary. Students will begin hanging by their hands from the bar and learn various mounts and dismounts such as tuck, straddle, and side. After becoming comfortable with sitting in the lyra, students will learn poses including but not limited to man in the moon, mermaid, splits-away, straddle-back balance, and gazelle. All classes are tailored to each student; no one is expected to do tricks that involve being upside down unless they are comfortable. The height of the lyra can also be adjusted to each student’s comfort level; classes will typically start with the bar at eye level.
