Specialty Flying Trapeze Sessions

For our flyers looking for more specificity in their flying sessions, we offer the following courses:

Advanced Out of Lines Session

Flyers must be able to swing out of lines to register. Catcher will be able to catch flyers OOL.

Out of Lines Progression Session

If your goal is taking your swing OOL, getting a trick OOL, getting caught OOL, or just getting more comfortable OOL, this is a session dedicated to helping with just that. Flyers will be given specific progressions, drills on the ground, and training time in the net dedicated to actualizing these goals.

Performance Program

The Performance Program at Circus Academy New York is a new initiative designed to provide aspiring circus artists, and passionate hobbyists with the training and experience needed to perform at a professional level. For flying trapeze, performers will present their act without any coaches on the board, learn board choreography, drop each other's bars, scoop each other and learn to independently manage every aspect of the routine. There will be an emphasis on returning OOL.

This program culminates in a fully produced circus performance on par with the Circus Academy Presents shows. There will be auditions for this program for the flying trapeze act as well as aerial acts and other circus skills. Flyers must be enrolled in a second session or be flying regularly in a second class in order to be part of this program.
