Born and raised in Bogota Colombia, Sebastian discovered his passion for movement at a young age. Before diving into the circus world, he trained martial arts for more than 10 years, spending 1 year in China at the Shaolin Temple. He graduated from L’École de Cirque de Québec with Diabolo as his main discipline. Since then he’s worked with companies like 7 Fingers, Machine de Cirque and Les Productions Haut-Vol.
Acro-Movement
Saturday, 6/27 @ 4:00pm
$50/2.5 credits
In this workshop we will take elements from acrobatics and dance to find different ways to move through space while learning how to feel more comfortable using the floor in our movement exploration. We will go through a selection of movements with skills that connect, flow and interact with each other to allow the creation of personal sequences that can add to preexisting acrobatic knowledge.
Movement elements involve: Rolls, inversions and weight transfers (not just on your feet).
Prerequisites: Having a basic sense of corporality and spatial awareness. Already knowing moves such as forward/backwards rolls, cartwheels and handstands will help but not necessary to be a part of the workshop.
