About Katie and Nathan:
A lifelong gymnast, Katie discovered flying trapeze at Florida State University Flying High Circus. Since then, she has worked extensively throughout the United States and internationally. Katie has excelled at the pinnacle of the circus world, becoming the first woman to perform the double twisting double layout to catch and going on to execute this historical feat at the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival in 2024. As a coach, Katie’s passion and enthusiasm for her students is unmatched. Her positivity, energy, and encouraging teaching style create an ideal environment for students of all levels to find empowerment through their practice and a clear pathway towards achieving their goals. Katie’s expert technical understanding along with her extensive knowledge on proper conditioning of the body for trapeze make her an ideal resource for any dedicated trapezist. Katie seeks to empower flyers in the community by giving them the tools to maintain healthy joints along with developing the autonomy to be able to give themselves feedback on the daily. She is currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada where she performs nightly with Mystere by Cirque du Soleil.
Nathan holds eight years of experience teaching and performing circus arts. His intuitive and adaptable style of catching has propelled him from a fledgling catcher to the highest level of the industry in just two short years. Nathan combines strength and softness, patience and precision. His excellent judgement minimizes risk and allows for a comfortable environment in which flyers of all abilities can develop their skills. He is currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada where he performs nightly with Mystere by Cirque du Soleil.
